The first National Inorganic Chemistry Congress was held in Adana in 2007 with the participation of 300 scientists at Çukurova University. Since then, this series of conferences is held regularly in every two years. The VIIth National Inorganic Chemistry Congress, organized by the Chemistry Department of Hittite University, will be held in Çorum between 19-22 June 2019 with the participation of scientists from around 500 different countries and universities.
The topics of the congress will cover “ coordination chemistry, crystallography, chemistry of inorganic-organic materials, oxide compounds, catalysts, organometallic chemistry, supramolecular compounds, reaction mechanisms, energy and photochemistry, bioinorganic chemistry and solid state chemistry”.
Ten distinguished scientists from different countries have been invited to the Congress as “invited speakers”. Prof. Dr. Rui Fausto from Portugal, the Editor-in-Chief of “Journal of Molecular Structure (JMS)”, will participate in our congress and give an invited talk. The SCI journal JMS (IF: 2.011) is released by Elsevier Publishing House and will publish a special issue of 30 articles from the congress. This commitment is the first in the history of National Inorganic Chemistry Congresses and appears to be a good occasion for the participants who wish to publish their work in a SCI journal.
In addition, the participants will also have the opportunity to publish their presentations in the Journal of Turkish Chemical Society Section A, (JOTCSA) and Hittite Journal of Science and Engineering (HJSE).

Papers presented at the congress will be published in the congress proceedings book as abstract or full text with the ISBN number on demand.
Within the scope of the social events, there will be trips to Alacahöyük and Boğazkale (Hattuşa) regions which hosted the Hittite civilization for 500 years prior to 1400 BC. The Çorum Museum is rich with items from Hittite Civilization.
The congress addresses to scientists and practitioners in chemistry, physics, pharmacy, engineering and medicine from universities, public and private sector organizations and aims to bring together the participants from different disciplines by creating a discussion platform about the latest scientific and technological developments and future trends in inorganic chemistry and encourage the cooperation between participants.
The VIIth Congress, which will be organized by Hitit University Chemistry Department in Çorum between 19-22 June 2019, is the continuation of the following previous congresses:
